If you're like me, you dread going out because each time you do, you'll have to wonder, what if my baby needed this? What if she needed that? Where can I feed him? Is that place clean? Does it have a place for her to play at? Do they have baby friendly food/plates/cutlery? Do they provide cots in their rooms (hotel)?
Well, after looking high and low, I realized there isn't quite a place yet where I can really find out where to go that I can feel comfortable bringing Cerys to.
So, this is it. It's a start. And I hope that it will help some mommies (and daddies) out there like myself, who'd like to be able to find a place comfortable to go with their babes.

a lot of parents may be concerned about all kinds of security stuff (are the windows open, are there obvious places to fall down....). I used to like to go to coffee places based on the type of chairs to sit in. the big chairs with cover all around were good as I could put two together and thus have a "fenced" area for aleks (one year old). Or i could sit on the edge of the chair with him squeezed in behind me without falling down.
I remember the barstools they had at the tapas place in bangasar were good as they were study for aleks to stand on and lean on the bar at the same time without falling (I have personally falled on bar chairs a number of times in my life)... aleks and I used to walk there so he could get a glass of milk and i could get a beer.... If you have research funds then I could do a thorough research on bar stools and their suitability for 1 or 2 year olds (and 49 year olds too) :-)
Are you still keeping this blog going? I was planning to start one as well, focused on NYC and Chicago to start, and then branching off to other cities. I'd love to use the "baby-friendly" title, so if you are not planning to use this blog anymore can you please let me know???
Great idea though!
